We’ve all been there. Skimming through the aisles of cosmetic stores wondering which of the perfectly packaged flashy products is a marketing scam and which is actually good. When you’ve been a Cairene curly girl for quite a long time; you develop this odd habit of walking into a store and buying half of the products you find just to try them, only to find that more than half of the stuff you bought was a waste of money!

You know those ladies with shopping hauls, I’m the one who does beauty hauls, that crazy lady walking out of a cosmetic store with 2 big shopping bags, yes that’s me and I’m more than welcome to lend you my reviews on the products I buy. What actually works, what doesn’t, what’s worth the price, and what’s on the pricier or cost-efficient side.

You can find all that in my beauty/cosmetic haul review. So, let’s dive in my stash!

Ever Pure renewing argan oil of morocco – Leave In

I mention this often that my hair type is a 3B kind of curly, so Leave-in creams are a mandatory daily routine to keep my hair well nourished and in good shape, just spray the hair with water and scrunch it in every morning. However, not all leave-ins are created equal. The ever pure argan oil leave-in is great for the first day [wash day], but not for daily re-application. It kind of goops up and is heavy on the hair. I would not repurchase it, as it wasn’t very practical for my routine.

Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Frizz Defeat Deep treatment for frizzy, dry, unmanageable hair

I have really dry hair that just loves to drink up products, that’s not even a joke, it's my hair treatment specialist’s description of what he witnessed when he applied products to my hair!

This deep treatment is AMAZING in every way. It leaves my curls super soft. You can easily apply it on wash day and just walk out. I’m surprised this doesn’t double as a styling cream! It smells like heaven, well every Garnier hair product I’ve used does. It’s just perfect in so many ways. Would definitely recommend and repurchase this one.

L’OREAL AIR DRY IT undone styling cream heat-free style Frizz resistant

I have to admit I was very skeptical about trying this product since most “styling” hair products are usually quite drying and my hair fares a lot better with a leave-in on the nourishing side. I must say I was pleasantly surprised by how well this one worked out. My favorite leave-in of them all. Styles beautifully, does not dry. you can re-apply daily, the product is so light and does not weigh the hair down or goop it. My only issue is my very thick hair needs a hell lot of product so I went through this tube sooooo fast. Like I’d need stocks of this to last a month and it doesn’t come cheap. However definitely a 5 star for efficiency and quality.

L’Oreal Extraordinary Oil, Oil-in-Cream, Leave-In

So based on my experience with the previous product I had really high hopes for this one seeing it’s a leave-in but on the nourishing side. However I noticed that the product was not so nourishing. My hair felt frizzier and while the effect was interesting, it’s not a look I’d like to go for again. In general, I usually find products with the word “oil” on them, oddly don’t work my way!

L’oreal Total Repair 5 Damage-Erasing Balm

Rich and smells like goodness in a jar. Deep treatments and moisturizers in general work well with my hair, and this one was no exception. You can also apply it and leave the house, but it’s a bit heavier on the hair than Garnier so it’ll scrunch up a bit after some time. Just brush it out with your fingers, and you’ll be ok till you have to wash it out.

TMT ANTAGE Nutripunte Argan Oil & Keratin

TMT is an odd Italian company that makes quite an interesting arrangement of products. I thought they were interesting to give a go. This product; however, is not one of their successes. It’s supposed to be a leave-in cream but I found the leave-in effect wasn’t flattering and far from nourishing. I can tell if my hair is well nourished by how well it keeps a curl, this gave me more frizz than curl. This product will definitely never be on my list.

TMT Inca Oil Filler Mask

As far as hair masks go, this one is unremarkable in any way. It’s ok as a hair mask and frankly is on the more affordable side of hair treatments if you compare it to the rest. So on average not bad.
